Watertown Police Chase Ends With Driver Jumping Into Charles River: Report
An Everett man is in custody after running from his car and jumping into the river to flee police.

WATERTOWN, MA – A police chase in Watertown Tuesday night ended with a suspect in the Charles River, according to a WCVB report. The 28-year-old Everett man was arrested after he allegedly led them on a chase through Watertown before jumping into the river in an effort to flee, the network reported.
The chase began when the man was pulled over for a traffic stop and ended at California and Watertown streets, where he jumped into the water. Police combed the river for the suspect and he was taken into custody late Tuesday night, according to WCVB.
