Watertown Police Log: April 18 to April 24
Man caught after stealing $5,000 ring from home and a woman caught trying to use a false prescription.

Arrests
An employee at Golf Town at the Arsenal Mall was spotted taking a TaylorMade driver out to his car on April 18 at 6:59 p.m., said Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Store managers confronted the employee, who admitted to stealing the club, worth $400. James T. McConville, 30, of 35 Glencoe St. Apt. 19 in Brighton, was arrested on a charge of larceny of items worth more than $250.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on April 19 at 5:08 p.m. on Quimby Street. Taylor A. Foley, 18, of 90 Nichols Ave. Apt. C in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – a chair, Lawn said.

A Boylston Street resident hired a contractor on April 15, and a subcontractor working on the first floor was seen acting strangely. After the subcontractor left, the homeowner discovered that a ring worth $5,000 was missing, along with cash from a bedroom drawer, Lawn said. The ring was pawned at a pawn shop in Everett, but officers were able to recover it. Police received an arrest warrant on April 20, and placed Lee A. Gregory, 29, of 61 Bailey Road was arrested on a charge of larceny of items worth over $250.
On April 22 at 5:43 p.m., Target security called police to report a detained shoplifter, Lawn said. A man had been observed placing two electronic items in a backpack worth $244.31. Mark A Delia, 39, of 298 Paris St. in East Boston, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise, a third offense.

A woman turned in a prescription at the Main Street CVS Pharmacy, which pharmacy workers discovered was a fake and was made on a prescription pad stolen from a Belmont doctor’s office, Lawn said. When she returned to pick up the prescription employees called police. She began walking away when she saw the officers but was stopped. Jackie Z. Acevedo, 21, of 215 Beal Road in Waltham, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property worth more than $250 and uttering a false document.
Incidents
West End Laundromat reported that sometime overnight on April 18, someone took two carts worth $129 each, Lawn said.
The owner of a 1998 Honda Civic who parked in the Arsenal Mall parking lot on April 18 at 8 p.m. came out to the car and discovered someone had broken in and taken a laptop, a Garmin GPS device, Lawn said. It appeared that someone had jimmied open the door.
A woman who was shopping at the Gap Outlet in the Arsenal Mall on April 18 at 8:21 p.m., discovered her wallet was missing, Lawn said. She told police she put the wallet down while she was shopping, then discovered it was gone. Later she learned someone had used one of her credit cards at Target, that same day.
The driver of a 1995 Honda Accord discovered someone had broken into the car while it was parked at the Arsenal Mall on April 21 at 8:59 p.m. Missing was a laptop computer, two college textbooks and a calculator. The driver was not sure if the car was locked.
The driver of a 2010 Toyota came out of the Arsenal Mall on April 22 at 6:32 p.m., and found that someone had scratched the driver side of her car, Lawn said.
A 2003 Mercedes parked on Nichols Avenue on April 23 at 6:39 p.m. was scratched over the entire length of the driver side door, Lawn said.
On April 23 at 7:29 p.m., the owner of a 2005 Chevy Malibu discovered her car had been broken into while she was at the Arsenal Mall. Missing was her hairdressing equipment, a laptop computer and other persona items, Lawn said. There was no sign of forced entry.
The owner of a 2004 Toyota Prius came out at 6:18 a.m. on April 24 and discovered all of the windows of the car were smashed out with a brick, Lawn said.
A worker at the Oakley Country Club pro shop said she came out to find that both driver side tires were flat, and someone had punctured the tires, Lawn said. She reported it to police on April 24 at 6:03 p.m.
