Man arrested for assaulting an officer, 179 DVDs taken from library and driver gave false name to officer.

Dec. 12, 8:19 p.m.: Police went to Belmont Street because of a disturbance and discovered a man had an arrest warrant in his name, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Benson S. Brutus, 44, of 1062 Belmont St. in Watertown, was arrested on a warrant from Dorchester District Court for failure to pay court fines.
Dec. 13, 7:12 p.m.: Police went to Templeton Parkway and discovered a man had an arrest warrant in his name, Lawn said. Tom M. Watson, 61, of 118 Templeton Pkwy. in Watertown, was arrested on a warrant from Cambridge District Court.

Dec. 14, 7:48 p.m.: A resident of North Beacon Street called police when a man was found sitting on the wall and smoking, Lawn said. It was not the first time the man had shown up an smoked at the house. When police came, the man began yelling obscenities at police, and pushed an officer on the shoulder as he pushed past them. Tyrone D. Williams, 21, of 34 Pequosette St. in Watertown, was arrested on charges of trespassing, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
Dec. 15, 1:44 a.m.: Police were called to the Super 8 Motel after someone reported two people arguing, Lawn said. One of the men had an outstanding warrant. Justin O. Switzer, 41, of 12 Summer Ave. Apt. 1 in Somerville, was arrested on a warrant from Waltham District Court for trespassing.
Dec. 16, 9:22 p.m.: Police went to Morse Street to serve a warrant, Lawn said. A 16-year old boy from Watertown was arrested on two warrants from Cambridge District Court, one for shoplifting and one for a probation violation.
Dec. 18, 7:11 p.m.: An officer spotted a Toyota van run a stop sign, and when the officer stopped the driver, the man gave a false name and date of birth, Lawn said. When the driver gave the real name, the officer found the driver had a suspended license. Pedro Antonio Gonzalez, 34, of 67 Coolidge Hill Road Apt. 1F in Watertown, was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving, refusing to identify himself and failing to stop.
Incidents
Dec. 13, 11:41 a.m.: The Watertown Free Public Library called police because a family had taken out 179 DVDs from Nov. 26 to Dec. 1 and had not returned them, Lawn said. Police are investigating.
Dec. 13, 5:16 p.m.: Four small holes were found in a window at the field house at Victory Field, Lawn said. They appear to be from a BB gun.
Dec. 13, 10:46 p.m.: A woman got a call from her credit card company that someone had used her credit cards without her knowledge, Lawn said. She had been shopping at the Stop & Shop Supermarket on Watertown Street earlier in the day. The cars were used at the Arsenal Mall and at a gas station in Waltham.
Dec. 14, 3:12 p.m.: The passenger-side window of a 2008 Nissan Armada when it was parked on School Lane, Lawn said.
Dec. 15, 10:27 p.m.: A worker at the CB Shalom Baptist Church on Templeton Parkway said someone took items from the church office, Lawn said. Missing were a set of keys, a checkbook and a credit card.
