Man falls asleep at stoplight on Galen Street, man caught breaking into a car and packages stolen from homes.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Arrests
Dec. 20, 3:27 p.m.: Police arrested to shoplifting suspects at Marshall’s in the Arsenal Mall, said Watertown Police Sgt. Thomas Grady. A man and a woman were seen taking boots from the shoe department. Kelli L. Price, 42, of 59 Norfolk St. Apt. 7 in Cambridge, was arrested on charges of shoplifting by concealment merchandise worth more than $100, and a warrant for traffic offenses. Michael E. Coleman, 45, of 13 Putnam Gardens Apt. 117 in Cambridge, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting by concealment of merchandise worth more than $100.

Dec. 20, 9:57 p.m.: Marshall’s security chased three shoplifting suspects from the store, and caught one of them, Grady said. The suspect had five packages of Ralph Lauren T-shirts and a pair of Polo boots. Kegner Lubin Jr., 19, of 125 Alewifebrook Pkwy. Apt. 23 in Somerville, was arrested on charges of shoplifting by asportation.
Dec. 21, 5:30 p.m.: A taxi driver and a passenger got into an argument over a fare, and when police arrived they discovered the passenger had two warrants in his name, Grady said. James Cormier, 50, of 343 Fellsway St. in Malden, was arrested on two warrants out of Somerville District Court – one for a municipal violation and one for a traffic violation.

Dec. 21, 7:05 p.m.: Police served a warrant on a Howard Street resident, Grady said. David K. Hammersmith, 28, of 28 Howard St. in Watertown, was arrested on a warrant for traffic offenses from Waltham District Court.
Dec. 21, 8:10 p.m.: Police served a warrant on a woman on Philip Darch Road and when they did the woman got into a shouting match with officers, Grady said. Debra S. Mendez, 28, of 49 Philip Darch Road in Watertown, was arrested on a warrant from Newton District Court for assault and battery and resisting arrest.
Dec. 22, 3:58 p.m.: A woman spotted someone she did not recognize getting out of a car in the driveway of her friend’s house and leave with two bags, Grady said. She called police and gave a description. Police stopped the man and placed him under arrest. Charles J. Saia, 60, of 176 Mallard Way in Waltham, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property – a subsequent offense - and misdemeanor breaking and entering.
Dec. 24, 1:44 a.m.: A man fell asleep in a car stopped at a light on Galen Street with the engine running, Grady said. Officers noticed the front right tire was flat and there was damage to the car, and they detected a strong odor of alcohol on the man’s breath. Michael A. Greenfield, 29, of 107 Magazine St. in Cambridge, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Incidents
Dec. 19, 8:54 a.m.: A lock was broken off the back gate of Circle Supply Co. on Bacon Street, Grady said. Nothing was taken.
Dec. 19, 9:48 p.m.: A woman from Mason Road told police that she thinks a neighbor took her recycling bin.
Dec. 20, 7:16 a.m.: A package containing a bread maker was left by UPS on a porch of a home on Fairview Avenue, Grady said. The homeowner reported it missing. Police found that the package was taken by .
Dec. 20, 7:39 p.m.: A notebook computer was taken from a home on Highland Avenue, Grady said.
Dec. 21, 11:59 a.m.: A black BMX bike, worth $310, was taken from a home on Green Street, Grady said.
Dec. 22, 12:19 p.m.: A woman reported that while she was walking in the Target parking lot a man in a pick-up truck grabbed her purse, which contained cash and a prescription, Grady said. Police checked the security video and could not find the incident.
Dec. 22, 2:11 p.m.: All four tires of a car parked on Garfield Street were slashed, Grady said. The owner had been involved in a foreclosure of a home in Watertown.
Dec. 22, 3:49 p.m.: A package was taken from a mailroom of a home on Williams Street, Grady said. The package contained a coat.
Dec. 23, 10:24 a.m.: A package was left at a house on Charles Street at noon the previous day, and when the resident came home at 4 p.m. it was gone, Grady said.
Dec. 24, 1:03 p.m.: A woman lost her pocketbook when she was in Target, and she believes it might have been taken from her carriage while she was in the children’s section, Grady said.
Dec. 25, 11:20 a.m.: A 2001 Volkswagen Jetta was dented on the roof, the hood and a side panel, Grady said. It appears someone hit the car with an object.
