Watertown Police Log: Jan. 9 to Jan. 15
Driver arrested for OUI after nearly hitting police car and break in at company along Charles River Path.

Jan. 12, 2:11 a.m.: Police were called to Mt. Auburn Street at Cottage Street because two men had gotten into an argument, and officers discovered one of the men had an outstanding warrant, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Trevor C. Powell, 23, of 20 Sawin St. in Watertown, was arrested on a warrant from Concord District Court for traffic offenses.
Jan. 13, 1:18 a.m.: Police were called to Patten Street for a domestic disturbance, Lawn said. Benjamin E. Davis-Oscar, 28, of 8 Patten St. in Watertown was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Jan. 14, 5:08 p.m.: A red van did not yield at an intersection and nearly hit a police cruiser on Grover Street at Kondazian Street, Lawn said. The officer discovered the driver had a suspended license. Darragh P. Connolly, 40, of 113 Spruce St. in Watertown, was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving, failing to yield, registration not in possession and license not in possession.
Jan. 14, 6:06 p.m.: A car got into an accident on Pleasant Street and the driver did not have a license, Lawn said. Roberto B. Cifuentes, 24, of 25 Fiske St. Apt 2 in Waltham, was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving and failing to yield at an intersection.
Jan. 15, 1:22 a.m.: The driver of a 2004 Jaguar ran a red light on Mt. Auburn Street and when the officer stopped the car an odor of alcohol was detected on the woman’s breath, Lawn said. Reika Famolare, 24, of 9 Erin Way in Middleton, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to stop.
Jan. 15, 5:16 p.m.: Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Commonwealth Road, Lawn said. Margaret E. Treff, 20, of 36 Commonwealth Road Apt. A in Watertown, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery and intimidating a witness for taking the phone away from the victim.
Jan. 15, 7:04 p.m.: The driver of a pickup truck involved in a hit and run accident in Waltham was tracked to a owner living on Berkeley Street, Lawn said. Police got report of a pickup weaving in and out of traffic on Belmont Street. Police went to Berkeley Street and the driver showed up and she had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. Patricia A. Torchio, 51, of 23 Berkeley St. in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Incidents
Jan. 9, 7:45 a.m.: Workers at Julian Crane Co. reported that someone cut the back fence along the Charles River Path and broke the locks on two doors, Lawn said. A Dell laptop computer and a Kodak digital camera were taken.
Jan 9, 9 a.m.: A GPS device was taken from the Armenian Library and Museum of America.
Jan. 9, 10:50 a.m.: Over the past two months someone stole a couple watches and two pens from a night stand in a home on Watertown Street, Lawn said.
Jan. 9, 3 p.m.: A package delivered to a Garfield Street home on Dec. 22 was taken from the porch, Lawn said. The package contained a pair of shoes.
Jan. 9, 6:21 p.m.: A Watertown street resident came home and discovered someone had pried open the door to his apartment and damaged the door frame, but nothing was taken, Lawn said.
Jan. 10, 7:59 a.m.: A Spring Street resident who was away for a few weeks came home and found that a television, a DVD player, an iHome dock station and car keys were taken from the apartment, Lawn said. There were no signs of forced entry.
Jan. 10, 9:49 a.m.: A worker at the Dunkin’ Donuts in the Arsenal Mall reported a woman came in, ordered and took two stainless steel coffee mugs and left without paying, Lawn said. The woman is described as white, with blonde hair, black knee-high boots, jeans and a grey cape-style coat.
Jan 10, 3:07 p.m.: A purse was taken from a car that was left unlocked in front of a home on Commonwealth Road, Lawn said.
Jan. 11, 9:37 a.m.: Police were called to Anthony’s Florist after a van that had been left in a parking lot was reported missing, Lawn said. The black van did not run, so owners suspect it was towed.
Jan. 11, 3:40 p.m.: A Pequossette Street resident reported that she was missing assorted pieces of jewelry, Lawn said.
Jan. 12, 10:38 a.m.: A guest at the Super 8 Motel left an iPhone 3 in her room to charge and when she returned it was gone, Lawn said.
Jan. 12, 4:24 p.m.: Someone stole 11 bottles of perfume from Bath and Body Works at the Arsenal Mall, worth a total of $324.50, Lawn said.
Jan. 15, 12:52 a.m.: A Olney Street resident reported a watch was missing, Lawn said. He told police he had some visitors.
Jan. 15, 7:49 p.m.: The owner of a 2003 Saturn discovered the car’s driver side window had been smashed, Lawn said.
