Watertown Police Log: July 11 to July 17
Man arrested for swinging bat at cars, jewelry stolen from Perkins employee and mountain bike stolen.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Arrested
July 11, 12:33 a.m.: Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Irving Street. When officers arrived, the woman told police she tried to call police, but the man grabbed her cell phone from her, said Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Olu K Coker, 35, of 100 Stow St. in Waltham, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery and intimidating a witness.

July 12, 7:34 p.m.: An off-duty police officer spotted a man swinging a bat and screaming at cars driving past, Lawn said. Police came and arrested the man, who was identified as William M. Connelly, 48, of 24 Humbolt Street in Watertown, on a charge of disorderly conduct.
July 14, 7:49 p.m.: An officer ran a license plate of a car parked on Mt. Auburn Street and found that there was an arrest warrant out in the driver’s name, Lawn said. Brian G. Patten, 36, of 188 Newton St. Apt. 1 in Brighton, was arrested on the warrant out of Somerville District Court for unpaid fines, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving without insurance.

Incidents
July 12, 12:49 p.m.: An employee at Tufts Health Care reported receiving harassing phone calls from a man on whom she has a restraining order, Lawn said. Because the man is from Brookline and other incidents occurred there, the matter was referred to Brookline Police.
July 13, 12:44 p.m.: An employee at Perkins School for the Blind who lives in a cottage on campus reported that someone had stolen his jewelry, Lawn said. He kept the jewelry in a footlocker, and he discovered someone had gone through the footlocker and took a gold bracelet, a gold necklace and a white gold ring with a diamond.
July 14, 7:36 a.m.: The owner of a 2006 Honda SUV said the vehicle was parked overnight on Theurer Street and when she came out in the morning the front passenger-side window had been smashed, Lawn said.
July 16, 6:17 p.m.: An Oak Street resident found someone had tried to pry open a rear sliding door at his home, Lawn said. It appears the person used a flathead screwdriver.
July 17, 4:56 p.m.: A yellow Royce Union mountain bike was stolen from the back yard of a house on Morton Street, Lawn said. The bike is reportedly worth $350.
