Watertown Police Log: July 18 to July 24

Man arrested twice in same day, deposits missing from Panera Bread and moped stolen.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

July 19, 12:16 p.m. and 9:36 p.m.: Police went to Main Street for a domestic disturbance. Victor O. Karamoussayan, 49, of 9 Howard St. in Watertown was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery, said Police Lt. Michael Lawn. He was released and later in the day police went to Robert Ford Road to deal with a domestic disturbance call. Karamoussayan was arrested again on a charge of domestic assault and battery, this time on a different family member, Lawn said.

July 19, 7:38 p.m.: Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Dexter Avenue. Arnak Khachatryan, 33, of 121 Dexter Ave. in Watertown was arrested on a charge of domestic assault an battery, Lawn said.

July 21, 2:11 p.m.: An officer on patrol spotted a man driving a Honda Ruckus scooter quickly on Main Street, passing cars on the right and swerving in and out of traffic. He was going an estimated 45 miles per hour. When the officer pulled over the driver, he found the man did not have a license. Charles B. Wisner, 21, was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license, marked lanes violation and speeding, Lawn said.

July 21, 5:12 p.m.: An officer saw a 2007 Honda Odyssey run a red light on Main Street at Galen Street. When the driver was pulled over on Pleasant Street the officer discovered the man’s license had expired, plus he had a warrant out for his arrest. Komsit Kaewprasert, 40, of 22 Aldrich Road Apt. 1 in Watertown, was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving and a warrant from Framingham District Court for a traffic violation, Lawn said.

July 22, 5:11 a.m.: A custodian at St. John’s Methodist Church called police when he found a homeless man sleeping in a backroom at the church. The man had stayed there before, but had been told by the church that he could not sleep there. Michael J. Bagley, 44, of 215 Bolton St. in South Boston, was arrested on a charge of trespassing, Lawn said.

July 22, 9:58 p.m.: An officer ran the license plate of a 2005 Hyundai Tucson and found that the registered owner had a warrant for his arrest. The officer pulled over the car and identified the driver as the owner. Joshua W. Daneshforooz, 26, was arrested on the warrant out of Salem District Court for driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license, Lawn said.

 

Incidents

July 18, 11:05 p.m.: A moped was stolen from outside of Pedro on Arsenal Street. The driver left it there at about 9 p.m. and when he returned at 11 p.m. it was gone, Lawn said.

July 19, 9 a.m.: A Rose Avenue resident discovered that some jewelry and a GPS device were missing from her home. She told police she suspects a family member may have taken them. Police located the jewelry at a pawn shop in Boston and they continue to investigate, Lawn said.

July 22, 11:04 a.m.: A man left his bike outside the back entrance of the Watertown Free Public Library. When he returned 15 minutes later it was gone. The bike – which has mirrors, lights and a rack on the rear – had been left unlocked, Lawn said.

July 22, 3:23 p.m.: A Bates Road resident told police his bicycle had been stolen. The Schwinn bike, worth $200, had been parked in a garage and the garage door had been left open, Lawn said.

July 23, 10:03 a.m.: The manager of on Arsenal Street discovered that seven daily deposits made in early July were missing. The total amount missing is $8,207.79, Lawn said. The incident is under investigation by police.

July 23, 5:35 p.m.: A Coolidge Street resident came out to find that someone had thrown a red brick through the rear windshield of her 2000 Honda, Lawn said.
