Watertown Police Log: May 23 to May 29
A woman reported $8,000 missing, items stolen from guests at graduation party, and an apartment door was pried open and belongings were stolen.

Arrests
May 24, 1:47 p.m.: A woman was caught by security at Target allegedly putting video games into her bag and trying to leave with out paying for them, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Maria Adela Alvarado, 40, of 11 Linden Ave. Apt. 3 in Allston, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting of merchandise worth more than $100 by concealment.
May 24, 8:05 p.m.: Police were called to Cottage Street for a domestic disturbance, and arrested two people, Lawn said. Natalia R. Kasparian, 19, of 25 Cottage St., was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – a baseball bat. Alexander B. De la Rosa, 19, of 25 Cottage St., was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

May 25, 8:45 p.m.: An officer on patrol on Mt. Auburn Street ran the plates of a Dodge sedan and discovered the driver had an outstanding warrant, Lawn said. Shane Garey, 24, of 191 Sycamore St. Apt. 1 in Watertown was arrested on two warrants out of Waltham District Court for traffic offenses.
May 29, 12:58 a.m.: A car stopped at a red light on Pleasant Street at Repton Circle was rear-ended by another car, which apparently did not even attempt to stop, Lawn said. Both cars suffered heavy damage. The officer talked to the driver of the car that hit the stopped car, and detected an odor of alcohol on his breath. Manuel DeJesus Diaz-Perez, 20, of 39 Hooker St. in Allston, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failing to stop with care.

May 29, 7:57 a.m.: Police were called to Robert Ford Road for a domestic disturbance, Lawn said. Timothy Haggerty, 39, of 113 Boylston St. in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
Incidents
May 23, 4:19 p.m.: A woman, who was on vacation, returned home to her apartment on Archstone on Watertown Street and found that some cash she had kept in an envelope was missing, Lawn said. The envelope contained $8,000. There were no signs of forced entry, Lawn said.
May 23, 7:20 p.m.: A resident of the building at 78 Main Street noticed that one of her neighbor’s doors was wide open, Lawn said. Police were called and found that the deadbolt had been ripped open and there were pry marks on the doorframe. A 48-inch Samsung television, a PlayStation and a laptop were stolen. Police are investigating.
May 24, 9:15 p.m.: A man reported that the someone entered his Toyota Rav4 while it was parked in his driveway on Summer Street, and stole a Garmin GPS device and $25 in quarters, Lawn said. The car had been left unlocked.
May 27, 5:46 p.m.: The owner of a Ford Taurus reported that someone broke the rear window his car when it was parked on Warren Street, Lawn said. The cause is unknown.
May 28, 9:05 a.m.: Sometime overnight, the rear driver-side window of a Honda Fit was shot out by what appeared to be a BB gun, Lawn said. The car had been parked on Boyd Street.
May 29, 10:30 a.m. and 9:45 p.m.: A group of revelers stayed overnight at a home on Robert Ford Road after a graduation party, and awoke to find some of their valuables had been stolen, Lawn said. Police went to the home in the morning and were told that some cash and an iPhone were missing from the home, and a GPS unit was taken from a vehicle. Later that day, one of the guests called to report that his iPod Touch had been stolen, Lawn said.
