Watertown Police Log: Nov. 28 to Dec. 4

Man finds intruder in his home, rings missing and a Radio Shack employee made fake refunds.

Nov. 30, 7:20 p.m.: Police were called to Mt. Auburn Street for a domestic disturbance, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Dean E. Kenny, 36, of 805 Mt. Auburn St. Apt. 18 in Watertown, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, intimidating a witness and a warrant Concord District Court for assault and battery.

Dec. 3, 11:08 p.m.: Police were called to the Halfway Café for a domestic disturbance, Lawn said. Martir F. Lazo, 39, of 85 Washington St. Apt. 2 in Lynn, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Dec. 4, 10:55 p.m.: An officer on patrol spotted a man in a parking lot in the 300 block of Main Street looking into cars, Lawn said. Patrick J. Healey, 22, of 50 Olcott St. Apt. 1 in Watertown, was arrested on two warrants, one from Dorchester District Court for breaking and entering and larceny of property worth more than $250 and one from West Roxbury District Court for possession of a Class A substance.

 

Incidents

Nov. 29, 10:11 a.m.: The owner of a Middle Eastern market on Elm Street discovered that someone sprayed foam insulation into the lock of the front door, Lawn said. He was able to scrape it off.

Nov. 29, 8:10 p.m.: An employee at Radio Shack was caught making $793.42 in fraudulent refunds to her own store credit card, Lawn said. A court summons will be obtained for a 20-year-old woman from Malden.

Nov. 30, 7:32 a.m.: A window of a 2011 Nissan Sentra was smashed while it was parked on Arsenal Street at the Peter Fuller Rentals location, Lawn said. Nothing was reported missing.

Nov. 30, 10:51 a.m.: A resident of Whitney Plaza on Whites Avenue ordered a television, and FedEx said it was delivered on Aug. 29, but the man never received it, Lawn said.

Nov. 30, 10:03 p.m.: A Whites Avenue resident discovered some of her jewelry was missing, Lawn said. She cannot find two rings, one worth $900 and one worth $500. There were no signs of forced entry.

Dec. 1, 3:12 a.m.: A woman found fluorescent orange paint on her car that was parked on Carey Avenue, Lawn said.

Nov. 1, 7:13 a.m.: A Quimby Street resident found that someone has smeared animal droppings on the side door handle of his car, Lawn said.

Dec. 1, 11:55 a.m.: An Arlington Street resident came out of the shower and ran into a strange man coming out of his daughter’s bedroom, Lawn said. The suspect raised his fist at the resident, grabbed a Nike backpack and ran away. The suspect is described as a black male, between 20 and 30 years old, and wore a brown coat, a black baseball cap with no logo.

Dec. 1, 9 p.m.: A Mt. Auburn Street resident found that someone had forced open a door, but nothing was reported missing, Lawn said.

Dec. 2, 8:51 p.m.: A woman ordered a Dell Laptop computer and it was delivered by FedEx on Nov. 29, but she when she came back to her Dexter Avenue home it was not there, Lawn said.

Dec. 2, 9:07 p.m.: The glass front door of Citizens Bank on Mt. Auburn Street was smashed, Lawn said. It appeared to be done by a man involved in an argument earlier in the day.

Dec. 4, 8:55 a.m.: The owner of a car that was parked in a lot on Pleasant Street found that the passenger side window was smashed, but nothing was reported missing, Lawn said.

Dec. 4, 10:14 a.m.: The owner of a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer parked on Warren Street found that the passenger side window was smashed, Lawn said. Noting was reported missing, and it appeared to be broken by a BB or pellet.
