Watertown Police Log: Sept. 19 to Sept. 25

Counterfeit $20 bill passed, dentures stolen.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Sept. 21, 6:02 p.m.: A Watertown woman was arrested on Main Street after being seen breaking into cars in the area, said Police Sgt. Thomas Grady. Leanna S. Sherwood, 42, of 28 Howard St., was charged with four counts of breaking and entering a car during the day. Items taken from the cars include $22 in small change, a $10 gift card, a Sony CD player and an ash tray.

Sept. 21, 11:22 p.m.: Police were called to Mt. Auburn Street for a disturbance, Grady said. Jarrod G. Vincent, 38, of 254 Mt. Auburn St. Apt. A, was placed in protective custody.

Sept. 23, 12:58 p.m.: A Waltham woman was arrested at Marshall’s on Arsenal Street,  after being observed putting items into her purse. Grady said. Eunna Lee, 38, of 11 Bedford St. Apt. 2, was charged with shoplifting over $100 by concealing merchandise. Items taken include clothing valued at $121.93.

Sept. 24, 9:28 a.m.: Police were called to Robert Ford Road for a domestic disturbance, Grady said. A juvenile, age 15, was charged with assault and battery and resisting arrest.

Sept. 24, 8:08 p.m.: Police were called to Mt. Auburn St. at Summer Street for a disturbance, Grady said. Christos Davidopoulos, 41, of 29 Lloyd Road Apt. 2, Watertown, was placed in protective custody for drunkenness.

Sept. 25, 7:20 p.m.: Police were called to Olney Street for a domestic disturbance, Grady said. Sheryl J. Leonard, 46, of 45 Olney St., was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Incidents

Sept. 19, 9:56 a.m.: A domestic disturbance was reported near Talk of the Town diner, Grady said.

Sept. 19, 12:35 p.m.: A laptop computer was reported stolen from Urell on Coolidge Avenue, having occurred between Sept. 12 and 19. The computer is valued at $1,800, Grady said.

Sept. 19, 11:25 p.m.: A woman was reported missing, however she was found shortly after, Grady said. 

Sept. 20, 9:58 a.m.: on Kingsbury Avenue, having occurred between Sept. 19 and 20, Grady said.

Sept. 20, 11:40 a.m.: A woman attending a function at the Commander’s Mansion reported that a small purse was taken from her unattended pocketbook. The purse contained a debit card, $53 cash and a set of upper dentures valued at $1,200 to $1,500, Grady said.

Sept. 20, 2:34 p.m.: on Talcott Avenue, having occurred between Sept. 19 and 20, Grady said.

Sept. 20, 3:55 p.m.: An altercation involving juveniles was reported at the library, Grady said.

Sept. 20, 5:40 p.m.: A woman reported items missing from her apartment on Riverside Avenue. It was later discovered some items were returned. About $1,000 in jewelry is still missing, Grady said.

Sept. 22, 1:37 a.m.: A man staying at the Super 8 Motel on North Beacon Street reported that items were taken from his room, including several pairs of jeans, Home Depot credit cards and $350 to $450 cash. The man said several unidentified men were in his room when he fell asleep, and he awoke to find the items had been taken, Grady said.

Sept. 22, 9:30 p.m.: A juvenile reported that while at the library during the day, his iPod, valued at $300, was stolen. He suspects it was other juveniles at the library, Grady said.

Sept. 23, 11:28 a.m.: A counterfeit $20 bill was passed at the Seven Eleven on Mt. Auburn Street.
