Watertown Police Nab Serial Car Scratcher
Man wanted to scratching cars in the Target parking lot on two occasions was caught coming out of Home Depot.

An officer on the lookout for a man who had scratched cars in the Watertown Mall parking lot near Target spotted the suspect across the street in the lot for Home Depot.
Watertown Police had been on the lookout for a middle aged Asian man who had been on two occasions, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.
"Officer John St. Onge was in the area of the Home Depot lot when he saw an Asian man walking a dog," Lawn said. "He appeared to be the individual from the surveillance video who had keyed cars at Target."

The man was wearing a sweater that he was seen wearing in the videos, Lawn said. St. Onge watched the man get into aa Honda Prelude, which had also been seen in security videos, Lawn said. He then drove off and the office pulled him over on Arsenal Street.
Shan Kin Chin, 60, of 285 Foster St. Apt. 2 in Brighton, was arrested on two counts of malicious destruction of property with more than $250 of damage, Lawn said.
