Watertown Police Raise Nearly $3,000 During No Shave November
The proceeds will be donated to a veterans' health organization.
WATERTOWN, MA – If the Watertown officer that pulled you over in November was looking uncharacteristically scruffy, it was for a good cause.
The Watertown Police Department raised $2,700 for Home Base, a Red Sox foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital organization that helps veterans and families heal from the invisible wounds of combat, such as TBI, PTSD and similar conditions.
Last year, participating first responders raised $15,000 total for Home Base; this year, they came back with a vengeance, raising a staggering $50,000 for the foundation.
