Woman Tried to Run Down Cop, Arrested: Police

Watertown police have arrested a Watertown woman who allegedly tried to run down an officer while fleeing a separate arrest attempt.

Deanna Beaucher, 28, with a last known address of 32 Ridge Road, Reading, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and driving without a license after she was arrested on Nov. 23 in a Waltham hotel, Watertown Lt. Michael Lawn said. At the time she allegedly tried to hit the officer with her car, Beaucher was fleeing an attempt to arrest her on five outstanding warrants, Lawn said.

Officers were investigating a mental health/drug call when Beaucher fled the scene, according to police reports.
