Two Pedestrians Hospitalized After Being Struck on Watertown Street

Det. Lt. James O'Connor said the two were in "serious" condition.

WATERTOWN, MA – A man and woman were hospitalized Monday after being struck by a vehicle on Watertown Street, police said.

The collision happened in front of the Hibernians around 3:55 p.m., Det. Lt. James O'Connor told Patch. The pedestrians were struck by a Lexus SUV.

O'Connor said the pedestrians were transported to the hospital and classified them as being in "serious" condition.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was cooperative with police, O'Connor said.

A motor vehicle crash has closed Watertown Street, according to police.

Police will say when it has been reopened.

There is no information on injuries.
