Watertown Welcomes Interim Lowell School Principal
Philip Oates, a seventh grade math teacher at Watertown Middle School, will helm the school during the coming school year.

Watertown, MA – Watertown Public Schools said hello to its newest administrator Tuesday, as Philip Oates took over as interim principal at Lowell Elementary School.
Superintendent Jean Fitzgerald announced the appointment on Facebook. Oates comes to the position with 10 years of teaching experience and previously worked as a seventh grade math teacher at Watertown Middle School.
Fitzgerald described Oates as having a "deep commitment to the students of the Lowell community and Watertown."
