Watertown will Host the U.S. Army's Jazz Ambassadors
The band of Army musicians will put on a free concert at Watertown High School on Oct. 24.
A group of musicians from the U.S. Army will play big band music at a free concert at Watertown High School at 7 p.m. on Oct. 24.
The town has hosted Army musical groups in the past, and this year the town welcomes the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors, said Watertown Veteran's Agent Bob Erickson.
"They are all members of the Army, and the are all professional musicians," Erickson said. "It's a great time, and it's free."

The group tours the country, and the come to New England every couple years, Erickson said. When he saw they were coming to the area he asked if they could come to town.
"They give you one date, and you have to accept it or not," Erickson said.

The Army bands have performed in town twice before. Four years ago, Watertown hosted the Soldiers Band & Chorus and two years ago the Jazz Ambassadors came to town, Erickson said.
The concert will be held in the WHS auditorium, the largest space in town for such an events. It will be sponsored by the Watertown Department of Veteran's Services and the Veterans groups in town.
