Woman Arrested for Shoplifting, Her Friend for Driving with No License

The 41-year-old woman had taken items at Target in Watertown the day before and tried again the day she was caught.

A woman who tried to shoplift at Target two straight days was caught the second time around, and the man driver her was busted for driving without a license.

Target security called police after they spotted the woman, identified as Andrea Doucette-Keating of Brighton, who had been seen taking items the previous day, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Security could not catch the woman the previous day, but they spotted her on Dec. 14.

There was a car in front of Target waiting for Doucette, and when police arrived they talked to the man, Earl B. Doucette, who they discovered did not have a license, Lawn said.

Doucette-Keating was stopped in the store with a cart full of assorted items worth a total of $1,119.17, Lawn said. She admitted to taking another $600 worth of merchandise the previous day.

Andrea Doucette-Keating, 41, of 35 Fidelis Way Apt. 843 in Brighton, was arrested on two counts of larceny of merchandise worth more than $250, Lawn said.

Earl B. Doucette, 45, of 15 Dorchester St. in South Boston, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license, Lawn said.
