Woman Steals Cash Out of Store Register at the Mall

A woman made off with cash from the register of a massage business at the Arsenal Mall.

On June 17 at 1:59 p.m., an employee of HealthCare Massage noticed a woman in the store and asked if she could do anything for her, but the woman said no, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

"The employee went to the bathroom and when she came out she heard the register drawer open," Lawn said. "She saw the female going through the drawer. Then she fled."

The woman took $717 in cash from the drawer. The suspect is described as a Hispanic female with short black hair wearing sweat pants with paw prints on them, Lawn said.

Police are investigating.
