• Wayland Couple Celebrates 70 Years Of Marriage At Senior Living Community (patch.com) — Wayland residents John and Molly Beard just marked an extraordinary 70 years of marriage with a celebration at the Carriage House at Lee’s Farm on Boston Post Road. Surrounded by family, friends, and staff, the longtime Wayland couple reflected on their life in town, the importance of shared interests, and the strong sense of community they’ve found in their senior living residence.    

• Wayland Police Rolls Out New Drone Unit (patch.com) — Wayland police have launched a new drone program to help search for missing people, document crashes, and support fire and EMS responses, all under FAA rules and strict privacy policies. Trained officers and even Comfort Dog Archie will be involved, giving first responders better visibility at major incidents and large events around town.    

• Seal of Biliteracy offers WHS students chance to test language proficiency (waylandstudentpress.com) — Wayland High School students are using the Massachusetts Seal of Biliteracy test to measure real-world language proficiency and potentially earn college credit. Teachers and students describe how the adaptive AVANT STAMP 4S exam works, what scores are needed for the seal or distinction, and offer practical tips for future WHS test-takers.
