Training in realistic settings is an important part of that work, as Wayland fire says that it strives to achieve the highest levels of preparedness while providing fire, rescue and emergency medical services in town.

Technical rescue operations are also part of a broader statewide system. The Massachusetts Technical Rescue Coordinating Council oversees technical rescue teams across the state.

Wayland firefighters said focus on training and safety "helps ensure we are ready when our community calls... Thank you to everyone involved for their continued dedication to training and safety."
