WAYLAND, MA — Wayland residents have a chance to serve on a town board without committing to a regular full-time role.
The Wayland Zoning Board of Appeals is seeking three associate members to serve on an as-needed basis. Associate members participate in public hearings, review zoning matters and vote when needed to establish a quorum.
The positions are appointed by the Select Board for three-year terms. Associate members step in only when needed, making the role a lower-time volunteer commitment for residents interested in local government and land-use decisions.
The ZBA meets once a month on the second Tuesday. Associate members attend when their participation is needed.
Residents interested in applying can send a resume or email of interest to Abigail Warren, executive assistant to the town manager, at execasst@wayland.ma.us.
