WAYLAND, MA — The Wayland Festival will return this fall with live entertainment, food and activities for all ages.
The community celebration will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Wayland Town Center. The festival will feature local artists and vendors, family activities, performances and food from area restaurants, stores and trucks, according to Arts Wayland.
Touch a Truck, face painting, bubbles, balloon twisting, inflatables and a roaming railroad will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A parade will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by an opening ceremony and performances at 11 a.m. The scheduled acts include the Wayland High School Honors Ensemble, the Dwayne Haggins Band and the Kathleen Parks Band. Additional performers are expected to be announced Sept. 12.
Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets. The festival's rain date is Sunday, Oct. 4.
