WAYLAND, MA — A local shopping center is welcoming fall with seasonal food and discounts.
Wayland Town Center is offering fall offerings, including discounted services and products at Spark Salon, autumn truffles and desserts at Chocolate Therapy and seasonal dishes at The Local. Visitors can also park in designated areas at the center before walking or biking on the adjacent trail.
Spark Salon at 25 Andrew Ave. is offering 20 percent off a blow-dry and style or haircut with stylist Caeley. Customers can also receive 15 percent off all hair products as a thank-you to the salon's clients and the wider community. Appointments can be made here.
Chocolate Therapy's fall truffle flavors include apple pie, sweet potato, New England maple and dark chocolate ginger. The shop at 63 Andrew Ave. features pumpkin ice cream, an extreme chocolate affogato, and what the business calls its "real hot chocolate."
The Wayland candy shop specializes in small-batch truffles made with fair-trade chocolate and hand-selected ingredients.
The Local at 400 Boston Post Rd. is also serving fall menu items, including an $18.95 turkey wrap made with roasted herb turkey, sage stuffing and cranberry sauce, with pan gravy on the side.
Other cool-weather options include a warm cornbread skillet with cinnamon-honey butter, a warm energy bowl with sweet potato and cranberries and five-hour braised short rib with mashed potatoes and roasted carrots, according to its menu.
Wayland Town Center also now promotes its parking lot as an access point for the Mass Central Rail Trail. The center asks trail users to leave vehicles only in designated spaces. Its on-site trail section has a hard-packed stone-dust surface intended for walkers and hybrid bicycles.
The shopping center's fall specials come a few weeks after new businesses and public-space improvements were announced for Wayland Town Center.
The center plans to welcome a new café and community space, New City Microcreamery and Mathnasium, while pursuing site improvements that could debut in 2027, the mixed-use development announced last month.
