Arrest Made in Break-In on West Plain Street
Wayland police have arrested a suspect in a recent breaking and entering on West Plain Street.

A Wayland man is under arrest in connection with a house break that occurred on Sunday night in Wayland.
On Wednesday, June 17, Wayland Police arrested John T. Monahan, 21, 16 Leary St., Wayland, and charged him with assault and battery and breaking and entering at nighttime.
Detectives had investigated a number of tips after the widespread news coverage of the incident, said police. An anonymous tip led them to Monahan.
On Wednesday, Monahan voluntarily came to police headquarters with his lawyer and his parents. At that time, he was taken into custody and charged.
Monahan is currently being held at Wayland Police Headquarters, pending the arrival of the Bail Commissioner. He will be arraigned in Framingham District Court.
