Echoes of Liberty, a collaborative exhibition between Arts Wayland and the Wayland Historical Society & Museum, opens in May in honor of America’s 250th anniversary. Artists were invited to create works inspired by ten historical artifacts connected to themes of liberty, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness. A public reception will be held on May 9 from 3–5 PM at the Arts Wayland Gallery (35 Andrew Ave, Wayland), where guest juror Christie Jackson, Curator and Director of Exhibitions at the Concord Museum, will select and announce ten artworks for display at the Museum during June and July. The exhibit may be viewed online at https://artswayland.com/collections/may-2026-art-exhibit-eol or in person at the gallery.
