Community Input Meeting Planned for Oxbow Meadows Field Development

WAYLAND, MA—Learn more about the multi-purpose field proposed for Wayland.

Wayland residents are invited to attend a public input meeting hosted by staff representing the Recreation Commission that will update and gather input about the proposed rectangular, multi-purpose, natural grass playing field that is proposed to be constructed at the Oxbow Meadows site.

The Oxbow Meadows project proposes constructing a multi-purpose field with the preliminary design being anatural grass, rectangular playing field 100x300 yards, said the announcement from the town.

At the meeting, Marshall Gary (the town’s consultant) describes the proposed field in more detail and hopes to gather thoughts and feedback on the preliminary design. Community input is essential in order to develop a plan that best meets Wayland’s needs, said the announcement.

The meeting takes place on Monday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. at the Wayland Town Building.
