Cruel Deaths and Executions

Hi Friends,
Perhaps one of the saddest photos I've taken in the past few months. Look at that "T-Shirt" Bag twisted around the little sapling. Imagine its impact all over the earth to turtles, wild fowl, other creatures who lack the hands, arms, fingers, opposable thumbs to take them off their necks. And there are billions of these nasty things scattered all over the landscape and ocean. Slow strangulation...hard to conjure deaths or executions that approach this level of cruelty and thoughtlessness. 
Come on, we can come up with something more earth and creature friendly to carry our groceries and medications home from market. Let's get to it. San Francisco has just banned these plastic bags; Ireland charges a serious fee for people who opt to use them at markets. I believe they are now illegal in some nations.  --Pat
