Election 2024: Wayland Voter Guide

Wayland voters will head to the polls Nov. 5 for the 2024 general election. Early voting begins Saturday. Here's what you need to know.

WAYLAND, MA — Election Day is upon us, and we've compiled all the pertinent information to know in Wayland before you head to the polls.

It's a big year for voters, who will decide between former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as races for the House of Representatives, Senate, and a number of statewide races.

Last Day To Register To Vote

The last day to register to vote or to change your address is Saturday, Oct. 26. The Town Clerk's Office will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., or you can register online with a valid MA driver's license or State ID card. This link can also be used if you have moved within Wayland and you have not updated your address.

Last Day To Apply For A Vote-By-Mail Ballot

The last day to apply for a vote by-mail ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 5:00 p.m. Postmarks do not count.

Note About Vote By Mail Applications

If you completed the white postcard that was sent by State Elections in January and July, and you checked off "all elections", you are all set for the remainder of the elections for 2024. If you’re voting by mail, your ballot must be postmarked by Nov. 5 in order to be counted. Since ballots can take up to 7 days to be delivered by the U.S. Postal Service, it is recommended you mail your ballot at least one week before Election Day.

When And Where To Vote On Election Day In Wayland

Election Day is Nov. 5. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. around Massachusetts.

Ballots delivered by hand to a local election office or drop box must be delivered by close of polls at 8 p.m. on Election Day.
