Coronavirus In Wayland: 2 Restaurant Employees May Be Positive
The employees worked at a Starbucks and Liberty Pizza. Both restaurants have been closed, health officials said.
WAYLAND, MA — Wayland health officials shut down two local restaurants on Thursday after one employee from each establishment either tested positive or lives with someone who tested positive for the new coronavirus, COVID-19.
The employees worked at the Starbucks, 44 Main St., and Liberty Pizza, 116 Main St. The businesses are located about a 1/2 mile from each other.
Wayland health officials are conducting a contact investigation to find out about other possible exposures.

"If you are feeling any symptoms, we advise you to contact the Wayland Health Department at the coronavirus hotline 508-358-6805 and your primary care physician for guidance," the town said in a statement. The most common symptoms of COVID-19 include a dry cough, fever, and fatigue.
Wayland has had one other positive COVID-19 test. On March 10, town officials said a parent with two students in Wayland schools tested positive.

COVID-19 has hit other local communities. Framingham has had four positives tests, Natick has three, and Sudbury has one. There were 328 COVID-19 cases in the entire state as of Thursday afternoon.
