WAYLAND, MA — Terrain marked the opening of its newest location Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Wayland.

The Anthropologie Group home and garden brand opened at 297 Boston Post Road with a retail store, all-season nursery, cafe, event venue and design services. The ceremony included remarks from Town Manager Michael McCall and Terrain Managing Director Beth Smith.

“Terrain’s grand opening is an exciting addition to our community,” McCall said. “With a vast range of offerings, Terrain is a unique destination that brings together gardening, dining and a place for the community to gather.”

“Terrain is about more than shopping — it’s about celebrating the seasons, connecting with nature and creating spaces that bring people together,” Smith said. “We’re thrilled to bring that vision to Wayland and become part of this community.”

The location occupies the former Whole Foods Plaza at Wayland Village. Patch previously reported that its event venue includes more than 8,700 square feet of indoor space and can accommodate up to 178 wedding guests or 250 corporate event guests.
