COA Movie Matinee: "My Week with Marilyn"

Enjoy a movie at the Council on Aging.  Complimentary popcorn and cold drinks will be served from the hospitality cart, or bring your lunch.

Today's movie was originally scheduled to be the Academy Award winning film "The Artist" starring Jean Dujardin and John Goodman. However, Sony Pictures changed the release date of the DVD to June 26 instead of the expect April 24.

The unexpected change means that the Council on Aging will need to show a substitute film for this matinee. The COA will be screening instead, "My Week with Marilyn," starring Michelle Williams in her award winning role as Marilyn Monroe.

The drama, Rated R, has a running time of 1hour 39 minutes.

Movie Story Line: Based on the famous missing chapter in Colin Clark's memoir, "The Prince, the Showgirl and Me," "My Week With Marilyn" reveals the enchanted week that the then-lowly production assistant Colin Clark, spent with Marilyn Monroe, the most famous celebrity of the era during the production of the classic 1957 comedy romance, "The Prince and The Show Girl," starring Sir Laurence Olivier.
