Firefighters Control Overnight Three-Alarm House Fire

According to reports, the flames were visible through the roof.

Scanner reports indicate that a fire ripped through a Cochituate Street home early Sunday morning and triggered three alarms before firefighters were able to get the flames under control.

According to reports, the fire was controlled by about 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, hours after flames were seen rising through the roof of the home in a photograph taken by Kyle Marcinkiewicz.

Scanner transmissions indicated that the two-story building led to access issues for firefighters due to "Collyers' Mansion conditions," which can put firefighters lives in danger.

A dispatcher at Wayland Fire Department said Sunday morning a press release will soon be sent out, so check back with Wayland Patch for more details as they become available.
