Flood, High Winds Warning For Wayland
Flooding and some pretty whippy-winds are expected for Middlesex County on Saturday.

WAYLAND, MA—A flood warning has been issued for Central Middlesex County, including Wayland.
The warning is for "small streams," and is issued until noon on Saturday. at 9:30 a.m., the Sudbury River in Saxonville was just below the flood state and continuing to rise. With ongoing rain, minor flooding is possible along the river, said the National Weather Service.
Specifically, areas that will likely see some flooding are Sudbury, Wayland and Framingham.
"Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads," said NWS. "Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. Do not drive through roads or underpasses that are flooded. Avoid flooded areas near small streams and move to higher ground immediately.
A high wind warning, too, is in effect in the area, including Middlesex and Worcester counties. Gusts could hit up to 25 mph throughout the afternoon and into the evening on Saturday. Scattered power outages are expected.
