Wayland Lacrosse Tops Burlington in First-Round Play
The Wayland High School girls' lacrosse team took home a decisive victory Tuesday.
The Wayland High School girls' lacrosse team showed energy and skill Tuesday as it topped Burlington High School 18-8 in the first round of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Atheletic Association (MIAA) tournament.
Wayland, a No. 3 seed, took only a three-goal lead into the half, but opened it up in the second half of the match to advance past No. 14 Burlington.
The Warriors will next be in action at home on Thursday against No. 6 Bishop-Fenwick.
