Helping Kids to Cope With Challenges: the Domestic Violence Roundtable Discussion Continues

The Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable hosts an important program in recognition of domestic violence awareness month.

In recognition of Domestic Violence Month, which is October, the Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable wants the conversation to continue.

In lieu of its monthly meeting, the Roundtable is hosting a forum on “Helping Children and Youth to Cope with Common Childhood Challenges” on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. in the Community Room at the Goodnow Library in Sudbury.

This free event includes two featured speakers:

Stephanie Howard, Ph. D,, is a licensed clinical psychologist and director of “Project We Can Talk About It,” the domestic violence team at Children’s Charter, a division of The Key Program. “Combining research, clinical experience, and thought provoking discussions, she brings to life the devastating impact of domestic violence on children.”

Joel M. Ristuccia, Ed. M., a certified School Psychologist with more than 25 years of experience working in the public schools. He is an Adjunct Professor at Lesley University teaching courses in developing trauma sensitive, school-wide, classroom and individual interventions to support all stu- dents.
