
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has released its report card of the Wayland Middle School.
Science: in 2013, the percentage of students scoring proficient or above in MCAS dropped from 87 to 81. Statewide, that figure remained flat at 54.
Math: in 2013, the percentage of students scoring proficient or above in MCAS jumped from 84 to 86. Statewide, that figure jumped from 59 to 62.
English Language Arts: In 2013, the percentage of students scoring proficient or above in MCAS dropped to 92 from 95. Statewide, that figure to 61 from 62.
Progress toward narrowing achievement gap: All students the target growth.
-The school and is in the 98th percentile of highest performing schools meaning it performs better than 98 percent of the schools statewide.
