I Felt a Deep Sadness

Dear Friends,
Two Hands, about 90 minutes: today I felt a deep sadness as I cleaned up one of our worst litter hot spots in Natick, Massachusetts (USA).  It was the Oak St. Bridge over the Mass Pike (I-90); and I've only done the south approach.  Still have to do the north approach (also badly littered with the same stuff).  Never saw so much alcohol litter in one place.  Maybe 3 - 5 yrs. worth.  Not sure.  Perhaps 150 bottles plus the nips.  Folks trying to self-medicate then toss the evidence out the car window before parents or loved ones discover it?  I worry.  I wonder how we've lost our way...and who will help these folks? Looks like our Trash-Free Natick Project will need a few more volunteers.  Let me know if you'd like to get involved.  -pat
