Dear Wayland Voter,
I am running for my fourth term as Recreation Commissioner. When I started down this path nine years ago I never imagined I would still be at it. I would like to continue to implement both short and long terms goals for the Recreation department.
• These goals include moving forward with our Field Use Master Plan.
• Develop an appropriate revolving fund that will allow our programs to expand while doing so with user fees, not tax dollars.
• Finally, to coordinate all town-owned Recreation assets, specifically those that may reside on school or DPW property. Bringing these assets under the care and custody of the Recreation Department will allow for timely preventative maintenance, better utilization of these assets, and much needed improvements with a thoughtful and balanced approach.

Following up on these action items will improve our assets for our users while continuing to find ways to cut costs, saving the taxpayers’ money.
I ask for your support on Tuesday, March 31. Please remember my name will be listed on the ballet as Thruston Wright.
Thank you for your consideration.
Thruston (Brud) Wright
