Mother Of Trayvon Martin Will Speak To Local Libraries
Sybrina Fulton will speak about violence prevention to patrons of libraries in Wayland, Belmont, Lincoln, Norwood and Ashland.

WAYLAND, MA — A coalition of local libraries will host Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, for a discussion about violence against children and how to build safer communities.
Fulton, a Florida resident, will speak during a virtual event hosted by libraries in Wayland, Belmont, Lincoln, Norwood and Ashland.
Martin was shot and killed on Feb. 26, 2012, in Sanford, Fla. The 17-year-old was walking home from a convenience store when he was confronted by homeowner George Zimmerman. Martin's killing sparked nationwide protests over racial violence — a movement that continued with the recent murders of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery.
