See seven important things coming up over the final week in April in Patch communities across the region.

WAYLAND, MA — Welcome to the April 25 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight important events coming up during the week in Patch communities between Wayland and Worcester.
Here's what to know for the week of April 25:
Wayland
On Tuesday, the group One Wayland will host a town-wide discussion on race, religion and culture. Local residents will talk about their experiences with antisemitism, racial profiling, policing and bullying, and then brainstorm solutions to those problems. Join the event at 6 p.m. on Zoom.

The four finalists for the Worcester superintendent job will meet with parents, teachers, officials and others each day from Monday to Thursday from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. (one candidate per day). Find details about the meet-and-greet sessions on the school district website.

Milford
The Select Board on Monday will discuss a carnival planned for Milford High School in August. The carnival had to move to Fino Field last summer because neighbors near the school opposed it. The carnival is a fundraiser for the Milford July 4 parade, and organizers are fighting to keep it at the high school in 2022. The parade organizers have even started a petition to keep the carnival at the high school.
Westborough
The Select Board will meet Tuesday to discuss a variety of items, including issuing an RFP (request for proposals) for the shuttered Regal Cinema building. That would pave the way for a redevelopment of the 29-acre site, which has been vacant since 2017.
Sudbury
The Sudbury Earth Removal Board will meet Tuesday to discuss permits for the Eversource transmission line project along a former MBTA rail corridor through town. The project has been the focus of multiple unsuccessful court challenges by the town and the group Protect Subdury. The project would bury new transmission lines, but also create a new section of the Mass Central Rail Trail.
Shrewsbury
Get rid of your expired or unwanted prescription medications on Saturday. The Central MA Regional Public Health Alliance and Shrewsbury Police will host the event at the senior center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
