Photos: 7 Wayland HS Students Display Artwork In Boston
Among the seven selected to display their art in a Boston exhibit, three students were given awards for their work.

WAYLAND, MA- Students from Wayland High School under the direction of art teachers, Véronique Latimer and Amy O’Connell are representing the town in the Massachusetts Emerging Artists juried exhibit at the State Transportation Building.
Seven students of varying grades will have their work on display. The students are Duncan Burnside, grade 10, Renée Case, grade 12, Gabriella Fargnoli, grade 12, Bec Patsenker, grade 10, Anika Reichelt, grade 12, John Silberman, grade 11 and Shuyu Zhang, grade 12.
Within that group of talented students, three students were chosen to receive awards for their work. Anika Reichelt was chosen as the recipient of the ‘Hat Sisters" award in honor of a beloved Massachusetts Art educator, John Michael Gray for her painting “Summer Dresses”. Shuyu Zhang was chosen as the recipient of the Painting Category award for her piece “Unspoken Prayers” and Bec Patsenker was selected to be a recipient of a MAEA Art Educator Award for her print “Innsbruck, Austria”.

The show will be on display and open to the public weekdays 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. from
February 11 through March 27, 2019. Admission is free. Parking is available in the building for a fee.
