UPDATED: Police ID Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash
The motorcyclist reportedly suffered broken legs and ribs. Police are investigating the crash.

Wayland Police have identified the man seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday night as Mark Herlehy, 57.
Herlehy suffered broken legs and ribs after a collision with a car on Main Street at the intersection of West Plain Street.
He was taken by Medflight to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with what police said were serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

According to a press release, a passing motorist called police to report the crash at 9:25 p.m. When police arrived, they found Herlehy pinned between his motorcycle and a Jeep Cherokee.
Herlehy was reportedly traveling south on Main Street when the driver of the Jeep Cherokee, who was traveling north on the same road, failed to yield at a green light and turned left in front of Herlehy onto West Plain Street.

Police are investigating and charges are forthcoming. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee did not suffer any injuries.
