Suspect in Wayland Home Invasion Arraigned
A Wayland man who allegedly broke into a home was arraigned on Thursday.

A Wayland man who allegedly broke into a home and assaulted a 23-year-old woman was arraigned on Thursday in Framingham District Court.
John Monahan, 21, of Wayland was charged with assault and battery and breaking and entering in the nighttime with the intent to commit a felony, said District Attorney Mirian Ryan in an announcement.
Bail was set at $1000 cash with conditions to include that Monahan stay away from the victim and the victim’s residence, possess no weapons, use no alcohol and no drugs and submit to random screens.

The next court hearing in Monahan’s case is Monday, June 29.
Police responded to a home on West Plain Street on Sunday, June 14, from a woman who said a man came into her home, grabbed her, and then fled when she screamed. Monahan was arrested after turning himself in on June 17 following many tips from a dashcam video post from Wayland Police to the media.
