These MetroWest Beaches Are Open July 4 Weekend
From Lake Cochituate to Ashland State Park, find out where you can swim or catch some rays this weekend.

WAYLAND, MA — The beach weather won't be perfect this July 4 weekend, but it'll be hot and dry enough that you might find yourself planning a trip to a local swimming hole.
Due to coronavirus, many cities and towns have delayed opening beaches. And some that have reopened have restrictions in place. We've compiled a July 4 weekend guide to which swimming spots are open, and what you should know before grabbing your beach towel.
Hopkinton State Park — Beach open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pay to park: $8 for state residents, $30 for out-of-state residents.

Lake Cochituate State Park — Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., parking fees apply.
Lake Chauncy, Westborough — Closed all summer.
Framingham beaches — All three Framingham beaches opened this week, but you have to get a beach pass (free) before going.
Wayland Town Beach — The beach has been open since the end of May, but with lots of restrictions in place. You also have to reserve a spot before going, with nonresidents getting priority.
Farm Pond, Sherborn — Open, but with very limited access. Sherborn holds a lottery every spring for nonresidents to reserve spots, and that was already done in April.
Mores Pond Beach, Wellesley — Open, but with very limited spots available.
Mendon Town Beach — Open, weather permitting, with restrictions in place.
Silver Lake Beach, Grafton — Closed all summer.
