Trash-Free Natick Project - Quick Update:
Hi Friends,Β
β’ Coolidge Hill areas and School St: pretty good shape
β’ Windsor Ave and the Natick HS Parking area near Memorial Field: very good
β’ Campus Drive: improving
β’ Pond St: much better since the Prison Crews worked it about a week ago.
β’ Mill St. and Kennedy - Brown Driveways: room for improvement. Some miseducated folks like to dump their trash there plus the NSTAR Corridor across from the driveway.
β’ Boden Lane Bridge: improving, but still plenty of night motorist thrashers
β’ Mill St. Bridge: room for improvement - lots of lottery tickets, beer cans, cigarette packs, large plastic ice coffee cups from D&D and Honey Dew
β’ Middlesex Path Prk Area and Rte 135 east down from Kiosk: room for improvement - looks like someone just dumped an entire bag of household trash along the roadway there 50 yards east of the Kiosk, and the parking area was pretty trashy. Tom, someone tore out our little stairway up to the loop trail. We'll put it on the list for repair in May.
β’ Oak St. bridge over Turnpike: pretty bad; haven't been able to get there yet
β’ Western border of Stop n' Shop -Building 19 Parking area near the 27 - 9 Intersection: pretty bad. plenty of work to do there too.
β’ Making progress, but I could still use another 20 volunteers.
β’ This just in from one of my great volunteers, John Moran: Β Woodland St. - a big mess along the Eisenmenger embankment near the old Oblate Driveway. Β Sad to report that destructive and miseducated folks empty their cars at night of beer cans/bottles after boozing. Β Thanks, --Pat
