Wayland Begins Series Of 2019 Flu Clinics

The first flu clinic is on Oct. 16, followed by two more. The flu vaccine shots are free for town residents.

WAYLAND, MA — The first of three free flu clinics for Wayland residents was held on Oct. 16 at Town Hall. All town residents are welcome to get a vaccine — although residents should bring health insurance cards so the town can possibly get reimbursed.

Flu season has no officials start date, according to the Centers for Disease Control. But the vaccine takes about two weeks to be fully effective, so everyone should get inoculated as soon as possible, the CDC says.
