Wayland Heads Back to School This Week

The weather’s starting to cool off, and the kids will be hitting the books this week.

The first day of school is set for Wednesday, Sept. 2. School will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Here are some other important 2015-2016 dates for Wayland Public School students:

Aug. 31, all staff returns for school preparation
Sept. 1, 6th and 9th grade orientation
Sept. 2, first day of classes
Sept. 4, no school
Sept. 7, no school
Sept. 10, back to school night, 7-9 p.m., Wayland High School
Sept. 14, Rosh Hashanah, no school
Sept. 23, Yom Kippur, no school
Oct. 12, Columbus Day, no school
