WAYLAND, MA—The Wayland High School Class of 2017 is graduating Sunday, June 4. As parents ask themselves where the years have gone, Patch is here to answer some more concrete questions about attending this year's ceremony.

Where and when will graduation be held?

This year's graduation ceremony takes place June 4 at the Wayland High School stadium. In the case of inclement weather, the graduation will be moved to the Field House. If the school decides to move the event, families will be notified on Friday, June 2.

Who can come to graduation?

If the weather holds up and graduation takes place at the stadium, there will be seating for anyone who wants to attend. If the event is move to the Field House, students will receive four graduation tickets. The school will attempt to accommodate as many people as possible, but those with tickets will have priority.

When should people get to the ceremony and how long will it last?

Guests will be seated starting at 1:30 p.m., and graduates are expected to arrive at the Commons at 2 p.m. The actually ceremony starts at 3 p.m. with the processional. The ceremony should be over by 4:30 p.m.

How formal is the ceremony?

The school is asking parents to help keep a "high level of decorum," during the "very formal and dignified event." This means students should dress appropriately, should not use their cell phones and should not bring any toys.

Will smoking be allowed?

In keeping with Massachusetts General Laws smoking or the use of any tobacco products on school grounds will not be allowed.
