Wayland &Natick Receive Additional Transportation Infrastructure Funds

Fair Share Amendment funding goes to improving local transportation infrastructure.

Boston Representative David Linsky (D-Natick) announced that Natick and Wayland have both received additional funding from the Millionaire’s Tax for transportation infrastructure. A total of $100 million in revenue from the Fair Share Amendment was awarded across the Commonwealth to support local infrastructure.

The $100 million in Fair Share Amendment revenue was appropriated across Massachusetts’ 351 cities and towns using the traditional Chapter 90 formula as well as a formula according to the municipality’s share of road mileage. Each municipality has the ability to decide how this funding will be spent on their transportation needs.

“I was proud to vote to provide these additional funds to Natick and Wayland to be used to repair our local roads,” said Representative Linsky. “This additional funding will be crucial in increasing accessibility and safety, and I am thankful to the Healey-Driscoll Administration for delivering this funding.”
