Wayland Offering Cooling Centers During Heat Wave
Temperatures may feel as high as 103 in the Wayland area this week.

WAYLAND, MA — With temperatures that will fell well above 100 degrees over the next three days, Wayland is opening several cooling centers for residents.
A heat advisory goes into effect Wednesday morning, which will lead to an excessive heat watch on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Thursday and Friday may be the hottest days of the week, when temperatures may feel as high as 103 degrees near Wayland.
Local cooling centers including the Wayland Free Public Library, which will be open during normal business hours, and the town's public safety building at 38 Cochituate Road, which is open during all hours. Each building has air conditioning.

Temperatures are expected to fall starting on Saturday, with highs in the low 90s. Temperatures will be back down around 80 by Sunday, according to forecasts.
